RLC - Parallel Calculator

(R) Resistors in Parallel should be of the same rating, placing a 1/2 watt in parallel with a 1 watt does not result in 3/4 watt. Remember that 2 different values will always produce a value less then the smallest entry. Example: 10, 20, 30 = 5.45 Ohms.
(L) Inductors in parallel is not a common practice, generally inductors are in parallel with other components such as capacitors and resistors.
(C) Capacitors in parallel require voltage value considerations. Two .05 disc at 25V will become 0.025 @ 50V
Filter Capacitors in parallel remember to add the total DC voltage rating.
Example: 5 - 80 MFD @ 250 VDC Electrolytics after calculation would be: 16 MFD @ 750VDC

                                                     Significant Result

Result: You may change the number of significant figures displayed in the result by changing the number in the box above. Example: 10, 20 , 30 = 5.4545 Significant Result set to = 5.
