CAM RADIO INFO by N7HQ including the W5JDX updates.

Installation:

You must be a member, STREAM or NON-STREAM, to receive a free license to use this program.
It may be installed on any computer you are presently using, but you are not allowed to distribute the program, it's code or the associated files.
To receive your copy, you must click on the download link here.
Setup:
You should save the .ZIP file to your hard drive, un-zip the file and then execute the SETUP file. Follow the directions as they appear on screen and complete the setup. Note: If you are updating through this link, you must remove the previous copy of the program in order to overwrite the XML database file that will be cached to your computer. This file is present on your local computer so you may view member streams even if the CAM RADIO NET server is temporarily off-line.
Using the Program:
The CAMRADIO INFO program written by Dan N7HQ and maintained by George W5JDX is very simple to use. Click on the program ICON that is located on your desktop. You will see the program call center appear. Please note that it can take up to 2 minutes to search all the member GLOBAL IP's on-line and qualify them for a STREAM presence. The stream button will remain GHOSTED until the stream member is verified by the server security and the program insures the stream is available.
This is the actual screen shot from ver. 2.0.5.1 (3/11)
Note the program center is located in the middle of six stream windows. You can place the stream cells anywhere on the page by using a mouse drop and drag.
The stations in light blue are NOT ON LINE, those in green have been detected for a stream. Note the stream button on the left is ghosted if the member is not streaming.
The REFRESH button may also appear ghosted. When you click on the STREAM BUTTON the members page will appear, the stream will begin after a few mS and the GREEN bar will turn to GOLD in color. The stream window is not an Internet Explorer window. This window is detailed according to the information that WebcamXP (the member stream application) is delivering via the member's Global IP.
The MAIN REFRESH is located on the top of the control center. Next to that is the AUTO ARRANGE one-shot button (this feature is included for multi-monitor users and may not function properly on all Windows systems).
OPTIONS button. Click on this button for additional options:
(1) Default Sort Order ~ by call sign, Name or Group.
(2) Multi-Monitor Support ~ allows you to auto-arrange or span all monitors.
(3) Stream Resolution ~ you may select "As Streamed", "Force to 320x240" or "Force to 160x120".
(4) Stream Check Interval ~ allows you to control the "update list" by minutes (5 default).
(5) Audible Status ~ a "U" or a "D" is sounded in Morse-code for UP or DOWN.
(6) Show Windows as Tasks ~ You may turn this function on, but it will require additional CPU speed.
(7) Mouse Hover Zoom ~ This button will force a TWO TIMES zoom of the stream window when the mouse pointer passes over the stream. The size of the "pop" depends on the resolution set in option "3" above.
(8) Click SAVE ~ when you have completed the options settings.
(9) The GROUP check boxes ~ you can control the groups you wish to view by selecting any or all of these boxes. (3770) - (3820) or (PRIVATE)
Please Note that 3770 KHz is the PRIMARY CALL FREQUENCY LSB however we may be on USB. The 3820 frequency remains the SECONDARY (General Class). The WEST COAST remains on 3820 KHz LSB or USB.
Please view our net managers sites (WD1L, N2WC, K3FKI, KA7BGR) for frequency changes.

Note: The latest additions to the software includes the QRZ link update and a multi-cam user setup that displays the multi-cam user with a Vn in front of the member call sign. That V1/N2WC will link you to Pat's number CAM1 and any additional cameras will be V2 up to V5. We do not allow more than 5 sources in Cam Radio Info.

Questions regarding use should be forwarded to the COORDINATOR in your region. The program has a very short learning curve and can be mastered inside a few minutes of use. You will be required to install the Microsoft (dot) .NET Framework. Microsoft will update these extensions after you have installed them. This will take some time, so please be patient.
The ".NET" Framework renders the same set of applications for the average user that is available to all professionals. These extensions are basically tools that perform the same tasks that earlier developers used to create applications in Visual Basic and C ++. However they are all packaged into one basic development tool that Base Class Libraries and Pre-Rendered Code.
SPECIAL Features:
(1) The program eliminates Internet Explorer completely. You do not have to use any browser to see the stream pages from members.
(2) Each window is opened up using very little memory and will require only memory to display the page. If someone is streaming a HI DEF image, it will require more memory on your local machine. Normal 320 by 240 JPEG frames can be received using less than 30 KBYTE of data (very small).
(3) Stream PAGE resolution is controlled by the streaming member. If the member is streaming 800 by 600, you will see the stream in that resolution if you choose so in "options" (and so on).
(4) You may drag the member CELL anywhere on your monitor/monitors and the program supports "mouse over zoom". Double click on the "MEMBER STREAM" blue bar and see a FULL SCREEN image.
(5) The program eliminates most "drop outs" of the streamed pages and displays the time speed from stream page to your computer in mS.
(6) You can view the GLOBAL IP and the INCOMING IP of any station on-line. You can verify the viewer with your STREAM LISTING on Webcam 7.
(7) The call sign lookup is supported in QRZ. This has been repaired as of the 3/11 version.
(8) We no longer offer auto-updates. You must visit the Cam Radio Website for these updates.
(9) The TOOL BOX and AUTO ARRANGE tabs are fully supported, do not forget to save your configuration.
(10) Version 2.05.1 now supports multi-camera stream windows from one computer port.
NEW FEATURES will be added as the program develops.

Please contact George W5JDX. If you notice any program run-time errors, please note any application error and contact the WEBMASTER as soon as possible. Please have your computer information available. OS, MEMORY and CPU. make sure you tell us exactly what you were doing at the time of the error.

I would like to take time to thank Dan Quigley and George Thomas for their effort to manage this application. I have been waiting for the time when I can offer to our community a better way to handle the member streams. We celebrate our 5th year soon and Dan's program has taken all of us into the 21st century. There is no other website using this media as an Amateur Radio Net. Dan and George have filled a void that I was not capable of on my own and they certainly deserve a "tip of the hat" from all members, old and new.
